OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation authority (IOA) demolished a five-story apartment building in east Jerusalem on Tuesday morning, displacing its residents.
Located in at-Tur neighborhood, the 10-apartment building was demolished under the pretext of lacking a construction permit.
The families living in the building received a final demolition notice on Monday, the Jerusalem Governorate said.
The IOA had targeted the building owners with demolition ultimatums and heavy fines for years while consistently refusing to grant them any construction license, the Governorate said in a statement.
