Occupied Palestine (QNN)- ‘Israel’ killed 355 Palestinians and injured over 16,500 others in 2021, the Palestinian Health Ministry said Monday.
The Ministry noted ‘Israel’ killed 265 Palestinians in the Gaza Strip.
The killings were mainly during its 11-day deadly aggression in May.
In the Gaza Strip, ‘Israel’ killed 120 Palestinians in Gaza City, 75 in northern Gaza, and 34 in Khan Yunis area in the south.
However, ‘Israel’ killed 90 Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, including East Jerusalem.
The Ministry added that in the occupied West Bank, Nablus recorded the highest number of Palestinians killed by ‘Israel’, reaching 30.
‘Israel’, however, killed 14 Palestinians in Jenin, 13 in Ramallah and al-Bireh, 11 in Hebron, and 10 in Jerusalem.
Most of the injuries were also recorded in May during Israel’s 11-day aggression against Gaza, it said.
It added that ‘Israel’ injured 3000 Palestinians, including 2131 in the Gaza Strip and 964 in the West Bank.
Moreover, the Ministry said among those killed by ‘Israel’ were 87 children, 60 women, and 18 elderly.
The Ministry also said that the number of Palestinians killed by Israel in 2021 jumped from 10 in April to 303 in May.
As a result of the May aggression, injuries by live bullets jumped from 56 in April 2021 to 2866 in May of the same year.
The Ministry noted one out of four live bullet injuries was a child less than 18 years old. It added that 50% of the injuries were due to live bullets.
