WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation army started on Sunday to build a settler road on swaths of Palestinian-owned land in the village of Battir, west of Bethlehem in the West Bank.
According to local sources, Israeli bulldozers began leveling swaths of land to build a settler road in the Hanjaliya area of Battir.
The road directly connects the area to an illegal settler outpost recently established nearby.
Israel’s settlement activity has been escalating lately in western Bethlehem, especially around the villages of Battir, al-Walaja, and Beit Jala.
In a separate incident, Israeli bulldozers began uprooting and destroying hundreds of olive trees in the town of Zububa, west of Jenin.
Local sources reported that the leveling and uprooting operations targeted extensive tracts of agricultural land belonging to local residents.
