Israeli settlers vandalize main electricity line in Bethlehem town

BETHLEHEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli settlers destroyed the main electricity line supplying the village of Al-Minya, southeast of Bethlehem, on Friday, marking the second such attack on the village within a week.

According to local sources, settlers entered the village and damaged the main power line, causing a widespread electricity outage and sparking fear among residents.

The village was subjected to a similar attack on June 26, when settlers threw stones at Palestinian homes and cut the main electricity line, leaving large parts of the community without power.

Settler attacks have also targeted utility crews. In mid-June, a maintenance team from the Jerusalem District Electricity Company was assaulted and pelted with stones while carrying out repairs to electrical infrastructure in the area between the villages of Abu Njeim and Wadi Rahhal, south of Bethlehem.
