OCCUPIED JERUSALEM, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Dozens of Jewish settlers stormed the courtyards of the Aqsa Mosque in Occupied Jerusalem on Wednesday under the protection of Israeli police.
Local sources said the settlers broke into the Mosque compound in groups, conducted provocative tours through its courtyards, sang songs, and performed Talmudic rituals under the protection of Israeli forces.
Meanwhile, Israeli forces continued to tighten restrictions on Palestinian worshipers seeking to enter the Aqsa Mosque by imposing strict access measures and preventing many from reaching the site.
The Aqsa Mosque is subjected to near-daily incursions by Jewish settlers, except on Fridays and Saturdays, under the protection of Israeli forces, amid growing concerns over attempts to alter the historic and legal status quo at the holy site and impose a new reality within the compound.
