Martyrs of Quds and Palestine confernece held in Karachi Press Club

Karachi (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Prominent leaders from all political and religious parties, as well as representatives from human rights organizations and civil society, minorities gathered at the Martyrs of Palestine and Quds Conference organized by the Palestine Foundation Pakistan (PLF) at the Karachi Press Club on Sunday.

The conference highlighted the ongoing struggles in Palestine and Kashmir and called for unity and action against oppression.

Rauf Siddiqui, former Sindh Interior Minister and MQM leader, emphasized that the existence of Israel is upheld by the patronage of the U.S. and Britain. He stated, “Those who remain silent on Kashmir and Palestine align themselves with oppressors. The situation in Gaza, marked by severe food shortages, demands urgent action from the international community.” He also criticized the United Nations for its failure to address these crises effectively. He stated that we pay tribute to all martyrs those have sacrificed their lives for the cause of Palestine.

Dr. Meraj-ul-Huda Siddiqui, leader of Jamaat-e-Islami, noted that 456 days have passed since Operation Al-Aqsa Storm, and the Islamic resistance continues with unwavering determination. He paid tribute to prominent martyrs, including Hassan Nasrallah, Qassem Soleimani, Yahya Sinwar, Ismael Haniya and others, stating that their sacrifices have fueled the spirit of resistance. He added, “The two-state solution is dead; the oppressed remain steadfast in their fight.”

Qari Usman of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUIF) highlighted the dire conditions in Gaza, where children and women suffer due to malnutrition. He urged citizens to boycott American and Israeli products and prioritize local Pakistani goods.

Allama Baqir Abbas Zaidi, a leader of the Majlis-e-Wahdat Muslimeen (MWM), expressed solidarity with the oppressed in Gaza and Kashmir. He declared, “Israel is in despair today, and the oppressed are holding their ground with resilience.”

Dr. Sabir Abu Maryam, Secretary General for the Palestine Foundation Pakistan, reiterated that the Palestinian resistance remains strong and committed to the liberation of their homeland. He stressed, “The unity of the Muslim Ummah is vital for the freedom of Palestine and the protection of Al-Quds.” He also condemned any support for the two-state solution, calling it a betrayal of Pakistan’s founding ideology.

Allama Qazi Ahmed Noorani of Jamiat Ulema Pakistan (JUP), called for the observance of “Palestine Day” at the government level to raise awareness and support for the cause in legislative assemblies.

Bashir Saduzai, a Kashmiri leader, emphasized that the struggle against Israeli atrocities is not just a Muslim issue but a humanitarian one. He said, “The sacrifices of Palestinian martyrs will never be forgotten.”

Pastor Emmanuel Soba, representing the Christian community, condemned the atrocities in Palestine and Kashmir, reaffirming the solidarity of Pakistani Christians with the oppressed.
Speakers in the confernece emphasised Boycott American and Israeli products to support the Palestinian resistance. They also call for Mobilize the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) to take effective action.

The conference concluded with a strong call for unity among political and religious parties in Pakistan, emphasizing that the issues of Palestine and Kashmir are central to global human rights.

Attendees included prominent leaders such as former Member of National Assembly Salman Mujahid Baloch, former members of Sindh assembly Mahfouz Yar Khan, Major (R) Qamar Abbas, Pir Azha Hamdani of PMLN, Younis Boneri or ANP, Saqib Noshahi, Mufti Shahryar Dawood, Mufti Mukaram Qadri, Sadiq Sheikh of PMLQ, Sohail Abidi of PPP, Mufti Murtaza Rehmani, Sardar Arjan Singh from Sikh Community, Naveed Alam of PAT, Abdul Waheed Younis, Nasreen Zehra, Sumaira ali were among others.
