NEW YORK(Palestine Foundation Information Center) The United Nations Office of High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR) said on Tuesday “it is horrified by the unfolding pattern of Israeli strikes on schools in Gaza, killing internally displaced Palestinians seeking shelter there.”
The OHCHR explained in a statement that “strikes on at least 17 schools just in the last month reportedly killed at least 163 Palestinians, including children and women.”
The UN Human Rights Office added, “In the span of the past eight days, at least seven schools were targeted. All of which were sheltering the displaced, while Khadija School was also used as a field hospital at the same time.”
The Israeli occupation army has continued since the seventh of October last year, its aggression against the Gaza Strip, with US and European support, leading to the martyrdom of 39,653 people, the injury of 91,535 others, as well as the displacement of 90% of the residents of the Strip.
