GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Palestinian journalist Ibrahim Muhareb was killed after the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) targeted a group of journalists in Hamad City, north of Khan Yunis, in the southern Gaza Strip.
Muhareb was directly shot on Sunday by the IOF while covering the Israeli incursion into Hamad City. He was missing while trying to take shelter from IOF heavy gunfire during the incursion.
Meanwhile, medical sources reported that the Palestinian journalist Salma Al-Qadoumi was wounded in the Khan Yunis military operation, which was expanded to Hamad City, hundreds of meters away from the claimed “safe zone”.
The martyrdom of journalist Muhareb brings the number of Palestinian journalists who have been killed in the Gaza Strip since the start of the Israeli genocide war on Gaza to 169 journalists.
Earlier on Sunday, Israeli army soldiers targeted the TRT Arab channel team in Gaza for the fourth time, resulting in the injury of the TRT correspondent, Sami Barhoum.
The TRT correspondent confirmed that they were targeted while being in a non-military zone overcrowded with hundreds of thousands of displaced people, stressing that the targeting was definitely deliberate.
“We were subjected to direct shooting by Israeli occupation forces northwest of Khan Yunis”, Barhoum said, noting that he was wounded after attacking his car which was carrying the targeted group of journalists.
