Palestinian shot, killed over an alleged stabbing attack

BETHLEHEM(Palestine Foundation Information Center)The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) opened fire at a Palestinian young man at Mazmoria checkpoint, east of Bethlehem, on Thursday evening.

Israeli sources claimed that the martyr was shot dead after carrying out a stabbing attack against a group of Israeli soldiers stationed at the military checkpoint.

Two Israeli soldiers were injured during the attack, one of them in critical condition, the sources added.

The sources further indicated that the martyr is from Jabal Mukaber in Occupied Jerusalem.

Following the incident, IOF troops closed the checkpoint and intensified their presence.
