UN listing of Israel on sexual violence report draws Hamas approval

GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hamas Movement has welcomed the UN decision to place Israel on its blacklist of countries involved in sexual violence against civilians in conflict zones.

In a statement released on Monday, Hamas noted that the decision relies on documented evidence and verified testimonies gathered by specialized UN bodies.

“This decision offers new documentation of the organized, horrific crimes perpetrated by the Israeli army against Palestinians. It serves as a vital step on the path to holding Israeli leaders and war criminals accountable, an action that is long overdue,” Hamas said.

“This UN blacklisting of Israel should not be treated as a mere symbolic documentation or designation. The Movement stressed the need for the world to move past empty rhetoric, turning condemnation into action, securing international protection for the Palestinian people, and holding Israeli war criminals accountable.
