WEST BANK, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Israeli occupation forces carried out widespread raids across multiple areas of the West Bank early Thursday and into the morning, triggering confrontations, arrests, and extensive home invasions. Dozens of houses were searched, belongings vandalized, and residents subjected to field interrogations, while several Palestinians were detained.
In a related escalation, Israeli settlers set fire to agricultural land in the plains of al-Mughayyir village north of Ramallah, causing damage to farmland and property amid increasing settler attacks across the West Bank.
According to the Palestinian Prisoners Society, Israeli forces conducted raids in several governorates, storming homes and deploying heavily in towns and refugee camps.
In al-Khalil governorate, Israeli forces raided the towns of Tafuh, Idhna, and Tarqumiya, carrying out searches and home invasions. In Jenin, raids targeted the village of Faqqua and the Khallet al-Souha neighborhood inside the city, while incursions also continued in Azzun east of Qalqilya.
Raids additionally swept through Ramallah and al-Bireh governorate, including Jalazone refugee camp, al-Irsal neighborhood, and the village of Surda, as well as the town of Beita and the village of Burqa in Nablus governorate.
Meanwhile, settlers ignited fires in agricultural lands in al-Mughayyir village northeast of Ramallah, while Israeli forces fired tear gas toward Palestinian homes in the area, escalating tensions on the ground.
Local sources said that as residents attempted to extinguish the fires spreading through farmland in the eastern plains of the village, Israeli forces stormed the area and fired illumination flares and large amounts of tear gas toward Palestinian homes.
The sources added that the attacks coincided with a settler assault in the area, while residents mobilized to defend the village against both Israeli forces and settlers.
