TULKAREM (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A group of Jewish settlers attacked Palestinian farmers in Ramin Valley, east of Tulkarem in the occupied West Bank, on Sunday evening.
Local sources affirmed that armed settlers attacked the farmers as they were harvesting olives.
“They beat us up and chased us away,” the farmers said.
In another incident, in Birin village, east of al-Khalil, settlers established a new settlement outpost after seizing Palestinian-owned lands.
The head of the Birin Village Council, Farid Burqan, affirmed that a group of armed settlers from the illegal settlements of “Susya, Bnei Hefer, and Kiryat Arba” set up a caravan and a large tent over an area of more than 300 square meters, and raised the Israeli flag on Palestinian lands in the “Khalat al-Forn” area of Birin village.
He added that the settlers brought large numbers of sheep to the tent under military protection, expressing his fear that the move is a prelude to seizing the area.
