GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Palestinian Health Ministry in Gaza condemned repeated Israeli attacks on medical staff and health facilities, calling for an end to the occupation army’s continued assaults on healthcare workers.
An Israeli quadcopter drone dropped an explosive device on Kamal Adwan Hospital on Friday afternoon, wounding two hospital workers despite their presence in the green zone.
In a statement, the ministry said Israel’s systematic targeting of health facilities and medical teams endangers the lives of workers and patients and undermines the health system’s ability to provide life-saving services.
The ministry called on the United Nations, international and humanitarian organizations, and relevant bodies to provide urgent protection for health facilities and medical staff, and to work to stop the Israeli attacks and end the ongoing violations against Gaza’s health sector.
According to the latest figures from Gaza’s Government Media Office, the Israeli army has destroyed 34 of the Gaza Strip’s 38 hospitals during the genocide.
Only four hospitals remain operational with limited capacity despite sustaining damage, amid severe shortages of medicines and medical equipment.
