TEHRAN, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Iran’s Revolutionary Guards said they had carried out attacks against a US base in Jordan and 21 other targets in the Gulf on Wednesday in retaliation for American strikes around the Strait of Hormuz, Iranian media reported.
The Iranian strikes, which included attacks in Kuwait and Bahrain, came after the US army said on X that it had targeted Iranian air defense systems, ground control stations, and surveillance radar sites near the strait in response to what president Donald Trump said was the downing of an Apache helicopter on Tuesday.
Iran’s Fars News Agency reported that a missile attack targeted the US al‑Azraq base in Jordan, destroying four targets, including hangars for F‑35 aircraft.
Later, the Iranian foreign ministry announced that the armed forces had struck US bases in the region, “which had been sources of aggression against Iran.”
In its statement, the ministry called on all regional countries to prevent the US army from using their territories to attack Iran, stressing that Tehran would not hesitate to defend itself and strike bases and facilities involved in any “aggression” against it.
