GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) continued violating the fragile ceasefire agreement in the Gaza Strip on Thursday for the 315th consecutive day, amid ongoing shelling, gunfire, and attacks targeting civilians and displaced people across different parts of the enclave.
Israeli artillery renewed its bombardment of areas southwest of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip on Thursday morning. Several locations in the southwestern part of the city were struck as IOF troops continued opening fire across the territory.
The area also witnessed intensive Israeli drone activity amid heightened tensions on the ground and continued Israeli violations of the ceasefire agreement that has been in effect since October 10.
The latest bombardment followed a bloody day in which IOF carried out attacks that killed Palestinians, including a drone strike on the municipal police headquarters in central Gaza City that killed at least 11 people.
Seven killed and 23 injured in 24 hours
The Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza said in its daily statistical report that seven people were killed and 23 others injured in Israeli attacks during the past 24 hours and were brought to hospitals across the Gaza Strip.
The ministry said a number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble or stranded in the streets, while ambulance and civil defense crews have been unable to reach and recover them.
According to the ministry’s figures covering the period since the ceasefire took effect on October 11, 2025, a total of 1,273 Palestinians have been killed and 4,223 injured, while the bodies of 813 people have been recovered.
The cumulative death toll from the Israeli assault on the Gaza Strip since October 7, 2023, has reached 73,407, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza. The report provided did not include a final cumulative figure for the total number of injuries.
Israeli forces continue to violate the ceasefire agreement through shelling, gunfire, and attacks across different areas of the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, a number of victims remain trapped beneath the rubble as rescue teams continue to face difficulties reaching areas that have been targeted.
