GAZA (Palestine Foundation Information Center) Philippe Lazzarini, Commissioner-General of the UN agency for Palestine refugees (UNRWA) has said, “the smell of death is everywhere in northern Gaza, as bodies are left lying on the roads or under the rubble due to the ongoing Israeli aggression for three weeks.”
Lazzarini added in a statement on Tuesday, “Missions to clear the bodies or provide humanitarian assistance are denied.”
“In northern Gaza, people are waiting for death, as it has become an inevitable fate. They feel they are deserted, expecting death in every second,” he elaborated.
Lazzarini pointed out that UNRWA staff cannot find food, water, or medicine, and “UNRWA staff remained in the north exerting every possible effort to aid the displaced.”
The Israeli occupation army has been on the offensive in the northern Gaza Strip for 19 days, where it has been launching relentless attacks on areas of Beit Hanoun, Beit Lahia and Jabalia, amid a suffocating siege on all northern areas of the Strip.
