WASHINGTON, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Hind Rajab Foundation has called on US authorities to arrest an Israeli soldier with American citizenship, identified only as “Jake,” over his suspected involvement in war crimes and the systematic destruction of civilian infrastructure in Gaza.
The rights group said the soldier was in Los Angeles to attend World Cup events when it submitted its request to US authorities.
According to the Foundation, this is not the first legal action filed against him. A similar case was brought in Sri Lanka last month while the soldier was vacationing there.
The organization said its complaint was based on detailed documentation of his service in the Israeli army, including evidence of his activities in Gaza that could expose him to international prosecution under laws addressing serious violations against civilians during armed conflict.
The soldier reportedly serves in the Israeli army’s 603rd Battalion, a unit the Foundation said has played a central role in destroying civilian infrastructure in Gaza since October 2023.
Rights reports have documented approximately 65 demolition operations attributed to the battalion, targeting residential neighborhoods, mosques, and industrial and agricultural facilities. The unit has also been accused of involvement in the unlawful detention of Palestinian civilians.
The Foundation said Jake was directly linked to at least one demolition operation in Khan Yunis during October and November 2025.
It also said digital evidence collected from his personal social media accounts included photographs and videos showing him deployed in military operations in Khan Yunis and Rafah.
The Hind Rajab Foundation urged the international community and the US judiciary to hold those responsible for grave violations against Palestinians accountable.
It pledged to continue pursuing perpetrators through legal channels and documenting violations linked to Israel’s war on Gaza, including the destruction of vital infrastructure and hospitals, to prevent those responsible from escaping accountability.
