GAZA(Palestine Foundation Information Center)The Palestinian death toll from Israeli ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip has climbed to more than 15,000 since Oct. 7 after dozens of them were recovered from under the rubble or evacuated from the streets, the Government Media Office (GMO) revealed in a press conference on Monday evening.
6,150 children and 4,000 women were among the reported victims, with more than 33,000 others injured.
More than 69 percent of the total number of casualties are women and children, GMO said, adding that Israel committed 1,384 massacres against the people of Gaza.
Nearly 7,000 people are still missing, either under the rubble or their fate is still unknown, including more than 4,700 children and women.
GMO pointed out that 207 health personnel, 26 civil defense members, and 70 journalists were killed in the Israeli attacks.
According to the Palestinian estimates, 103 government headquarters were destroyed along with 266 schools, of which 67 schools were totally out of service.
Along the same line, 85 mosques were completely destroyed, and 174 mosques were partially damaged, while three churches were targeted.
The GMO added that 26 hospitals and 55 health centers have ceased operations in Gaza due to Israeli attacks and a shortage of fuel needed to operate power generators. 56 ambulances were also targeted in the attacks.
This was accompanied by heavy bombing that devastated and destroyed entire residential blocks and neighborhoods. 50,000 housing units were completely destroyed, 240,000 housing units were partially damaged.
The GMO holds Israel and the international community fully responsible for the ongoing crimes in the Gaza Strip, calling on the free world to put pressure on Israel to stop this bloody war.
