NABLUS (Palestine Foundation Information Center) A number of Palestinians were killed after a car was hit with a drone strike in the Balata camp near Nablus, in the occupied West Bank, at dawn Wednesday.
Local sources reported that an Israeli drone bombed a vehicle near the Barada Junction near Balata refugee camp. It remains unconfirmed how many people were killed in the attack.
Israeli soldiers shot at a Palestine Red Crescent Society ambulance as it attempted to reach the vehicle, which was still on fire.
According to the sources, the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) extracted the martyrs from inside the vehicle, put them in bags, and took them to an unknown destination along with the car.
Primary reports identified the martyrs as the two brothers Saif and Yazan Al-Najmi and Muhammad Al-Qatawi.
The sources confirmed that the Israeli troops later stormed the Balata and Askar camps, conducting a massive raid and search campaign.
The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said that it was able to reach the vehicle targeted in the attack following the Israeli withdrawal.
The remains of one of the young men were recovered, while the bodies of the two others were taken by the IOF.
Following the attack, clashes broke out in the area while a general strike was declared in the city.
