GAZA, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), Two Palestinians were killed and six others injured on Wednesday evening after an Israeli drone strike targeted Al-Rashid Street in the Al-Mawasi area west of Khan Yunis in southern Gaza.
According to local reports, the victims were identified as Mohammed Joudeh Al-Farra and Hussein Mohammed Al-Qudra. Six other Palestinians sustained injuries of varying severity in the attack.
The strike comes amid continued Israeli violations of the Gaza ceasefire agreement, which took effect in October 2025 under a plan announced by US President Donald Trump.
Earlier on Wednesday, Gaza’s Ministry of Health reported that the overall death toll from Israel’s military campaign on Gaza since October 7, 2023, had risen to 73,016 Palestinians killed along with 173,265 wounded.
The ministry said thousands of victims remain trapped beneath rubble or in areas inaccessible to rescue teams due to ongoing military operations and difficult conditions on the ground.
According to the ministry, the number of Palestinians killed since the ceasefire came into effect on October 11, 2025, has reached 1,005, with 3,157 injuries recorded. In addition, 784 bodies have been recovered from various locations across the Gaza Strip.
Health officials noted that many victims remain buried under destroyed buildings or stranded in areas that rescue crews and civil defense teams are unable to reach.
Medical authorities in Gaza continue to warn of a worsening humanitarian and healthcare crisis, as hospitals and medical facilities struggle under mounting pressure caused by the growing number of casualties and the increasing demand for treatment and essential healthcare services.
