SANA’A (Palestine Foundation Information Center) The Yemeni armed forces, run by Ansar Allah group, announced on Wednesday that they fired missiles at the US warship USS Gravely.
The spokesman for Yemen’s armed forces, Yahya Saree, said that the attack comes in defense of the Palestinian people and in response to the US-UK aggression on Yemen.
US Central Command (CENTCOM) announced in a statement, that an anti-ship cruise missile was shot down in the Red Sea, saying it was launched from areas controlled by Ansar Allah group in Yemen.
The Yemeni forces previously attacked several US ships in response to the US-UK aggression on Yemen.
Ansar Allah group affirmed that it adheres to its position of blocking the sail of ships bound to Israel as long as the aggression and siege on the Gaza Strip continue.
