BEIRUT, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), The Lebanese health ministry announced on Thursday that the death toll from the ongoing Israeli offensive on Lebanon since March 2 has risen to 3,912 killed while 11,873 others were wounded.
In a statement issued Thursday evening, the ministry’s Emergency Health Operations Center said the cumulative toll from Israeli attacks between March 2 and June 18 has reached 3,912 victims and 11,873 injuries.
The figures come amid continuing Israeli airstrikes and shelling targeting several towns and villages across southern Lebanon, as well as direct attacks on civilian vehicles.
Lebanon’s National News Agency reported that one Lebanese citizen was killed and another was seriously injured in an Israeli drone strike targeting a vehicle near the town of Kfar Tebnit in southern Lebanon.
The agency also reported that an Israeli drone dropped a bomb on the town of Beit Yahoun in southern Lebanon, wounding two people.
South Lebanon has witnessed ongoing escalation in recent weeks, including airstrikes, artillery bombardment, and other military attacks amid continued tensions along the border.
Meanwhile, Hezbollah said that Israeli forces remain positioned on the southern outskirts of Kfar Tebnit near Arnoun, saying clashes in the area are continuing.
In remarks to the media on Thursday, the group said Israeli forces have been attempting for four consecutive days to advance toward Kfar Tebnit and Ali Al-Taher Hill, adding that the area would remain inaccessible to Israeli ground advances.
Hezbollah said its fighters had confronted Israeli forces using missiles and drones, inflicting casualties and forcing troops to withdraw from the area.
The latest developments come as fighting continues to intensify along Lebanon’s southern front despite growing international concerns over the humanitarian and security consequences of the conflict.
