US strikes target civilian and military facilities across Iran

TEHRAN, (Palestine Foundation Information Center), US attacks inside Iran have expanded to include civilian and military facilities across several provinces, as the regional confrontation escalates and continues to affect shipping and energy markets.

Iran’s ISNA news agency, citing the governor of Dehloran, said a US strike targeted a mineral water production facility in the Mousian area in western Iran on Wednesday morning, causing material damage but no casualties.

Mehr news agency reported that a maritime control tower in Chabahar was hit by a missile attack for the second time in days, describing it as a civilian facility used for search and rescue operations and securing maritime trade.

In Khuzestan province, Tasnim news agency quoted the deputy governor as saying a wheat storage silo in the city of Hoveyzeh was bombed overnight, with no casualties reported. The governor of Bushehr also said three sites inside the city were targeted Wednesday morning without causing deaths.

Iran’s government spokesperson said US attacks on southern Iran in recent days had killed 30 civilians, while the Health Ministry said two women were killed and 260 people wounded in the latest wave of escalation.

The Iranian army also announced that seven of its members were killed in a strike on a military barracks in Bampur, in Sistan and Baluchestan province, vowing a decisive response.

US Central Command, meanwhile, announced the start of an “additional round of airstrikes” targeting what it described as Iranian capabilities used to attack commercial vessels in the Strait of Hormuz, as Washington resumed a naval blockade on Iranian ports and coasts.

Shipping tracking data showed a decline in traffic through the Strait of Hormuz, with only a limited number of vessels crossing after maritime measures were tightened. An Iranian oil tanker under sanctions reportedly stopped after leaving the strait, while another tanker changed course toward the port of Fujairah.

Regionally, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it destroyed a US military center at Abdullah Port in Kuwait, signaling a widening confrontation.

The Jordanian army also said it intercepted three ballistic missiles that entered its airspace from Iran early Wednesday.

Oil prices rose amid fears of disruption to regional energy supplies, with Brent crude climbing to $86.19 a barrel and West Texas Intermediate reaching $80.40.
